Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President – Insurance Operations Leader to oversee a large, multi-account insurance operations portfolio. This role requires strong leadership across delivery, client engagement, people management, transformation, and P&L ownership. You will lead high-scale operations (2,000–3,000+ FTEs) across global geographies, with direct impact on strategic growth, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive business strategy, operational excellence, and digital transformation across multiple insurance portfolios.
- Operational Management: Lead delivery excellence, governance, and service quality across a diverse, multi-account environment.
- Client Engagement: Act as the executive face to clients, driving long-term partnerships, ensuring business outcomes, and maintaining CSAT/NPS metrics.
- People Leadership: Manage large-scale teams (2,000 - 3000 FTEs); build succession, develop leadership, and foster a culture of performance and inclusion.
- Financial Oversight: Own P&L for the portfolio; ensure revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost optimization.
- Transformation & Innovation: Drive tech-enabled operations; lead process automation, digital transformation, and innovation initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior internal and external stakeholders globally, balancing delivery goals with strategic priorities.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Insurance/Financial Services operations
- Proven leadership managing large-scale delivery portfolios (1,500–2,000+ FTEs)
- P&L ownership experience in a global, client-facing role
Industry Knowledge:
- Strong exposure to Insurance or Banking operations; P&C experience is a plus
- Global/North American market experience
Leadership Skills:
- Executive presence with ability to influence C-level stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage diverse teams, drive transformation, and deliver outcomes
Tech Acumen:
- Led or supported tech-enabled transformation in insurance ops
- Understanding of automation, digital tools, and emerging technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- Experience leading global delivery in a multinational services environment
- Familiarity with modern people practices, talent strategy, and employee engagement
- Experience in third-party/BPO preferred
- Industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, LOMA) are an advantage
