Job Description
- Manage procurement activities with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and materials
- Development and Launching of Self designed Garments from Job Workers/ Suppliers in market as per market trends
- Oversee operations within the manufacturing unit, ensuring smooth production processes and adherence to quality standards
- Conduct regular forecasting and analysis to optimize inventory levels and anticipate future supply needs
- Develop and implement strategies for future assortments based on market trends and consumer demand
- Planning the sales, contributions of categories and order quantum of coming seasons as per forecasting and previous history of organization
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Ensure on time delivery (TNA) from suppliers, Factories and Job workers and also to dispatch till stores
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Planning, Logistics, Sales, and Finance to streamline operations and meet business objectives
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform decision-making
- Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in buying, merchandising, forecasting and TNA
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Fashion Designing or related field. A master s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of minimum 3 years in buying and merchandising department, preferably in a senior role.
- Experience in retail and export sector both will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to forecast future trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Leadership qualities with experience in managing a team.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft excel
