Job Summary The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages and light food items while delivering exceptional customer service This role involves maintaining a clean and welcoming cafe environment handling cash and POS transactions and ensuring guests have an enjoyable and efficient experience Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and take accurate beverage and food orders Prepare and serve coffee espresso drinks teas and other beverages to company standards Operate coffee machines blenders grinders and other cafe equipment safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe including tables counters and equipment Restock supplies such as coffee beans milk syrups and pastries as needed Handle cash and card transactions accurately balance the cash register at the end of shifts Follow health safety and sanitation guidelines for food and beverage preparation Provide product recommendations and promote menu items or seasonal specials Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned Qualifications Skills Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred but not required Passion for coffee beverages and hospitality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic math and cash-handling skills Reliable punctual and professional in appearance and attitude Flexible availability including weekends and holidays Work Environment Fast-paced cafe or coffee shop setting Requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs Job Type Full-time Pay 18 000 00 - 20 000 00 per month
