29 Oct 2025 Business Unit Taj Tirupati Department Engineering Description About IHCL Indian Hotels Company Limited IHCL is a part of the Tata Group and is one of South Asia s largest and most iconic hospitality companies With a legacy of over 120 years we are dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to our guests through our diverse portfolio of hotels resorts and palaces Careers at IHCL At IHCL we believe our employees are our greatest asset We are committed to fostering a dynamic work environment that encourages innovation collaboration and personal growth Join us in creating memorable experiences and shaping the future of hospitality Explore exciting career opportunities with us and be a part of a vibrant team that values passion excellence and diversity Job Objective The objective is to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for machinery and equipment ensuring that all machines operate efficiently and safely This includes conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues promptly to maintain optimal performance and safety standards Essential Job Tasks The objective is to implement Engineering SOPs and guidelines ensuring that a robust maintenance process is followed This will guarantee that critical machinery and equipment are maintained at their optimum level thereby ensuring efficient operations and minimizing downtime Areas of Responsibility Supervise and coordinate day-to-day engineering tasks projects and initiatives as per the direction of the Deputy Engineer Chief Engineer Provide solutions to recurring engineering problems in guest floors kitchens laundry banquets restaurants and other areas Lead train and mentor a team of engineering technicians in day-to-day engineering activities Carry out preventive maintenance of guest rooms electrical mechanical kitchen laundry equipment plumbing air-conditioning refrigeration equipment audio-visual lighting and other equipment Ensure that SOPs and safety guidelines are followed during the execution of work in the hotel premises Coordinate with vendors for floating BOQs site visits preparing comparatives and assisting the Deputy Engineer Chief Engineer in the issuance of orders Implement cost-effective solutions for perennial issues in the hotel Coordinate with other departments like Housekeeping Front Office and Food Beverage to address engineering issues in their areas Assist the Deputy Engineer in maintaining audit and maintenance records Assist in the implementation of FPL and R M cost mitigation measures Plan and execute critical shutdowns for engineering services Monitor and review log books of critical engineering equipment such as Chiller Plant Boiler UPS Transformer etc Ensure adherence to relevant engineering statutory compliances in the department Attributes Essentials Other Information Flexibility to work in shifts relocate Required Qualifications Diploma in Electrical Mechanical HVAC or other relevant fields Work Experience 5 Years of relevant experience in Hospitality Industry with 2 Years of experience as Team Leader Shift Incharge Languages Needed in Position English Key Interfaces- External Vendors Concerned Govt Offices and others Key Interfaces- Internal Engineering function Other Operational departments Behavioural Competencies Process Excellence Result Orientation Collaborative Engagement Change Championship Growth Mindset Guest Centricity Personal Effectiveness Equal Opportunities Employment at IHCL
