Assistant Manager, Chief Accounting

Job Description Gurgaon, Haryana, India External reporting finance team is involved in producing the financial statements based on the statutory rules and as per the local GAAP/ IFRS requirements on a quarterly basis. The team is also involved in preparation of the various reports and forms as prescribed by the Insurance regulatory authorities of various countries where AXA XL writes its insurance business from on a quarterly and annual basis. The team produces various reports for the regulator to show we maintain sufficient level of solvency and liquidity as prescribed by the regulator. The team prepares various reports as prescribed by corporate close calendar. The team performs data clean ups and prepares various source system & other reconciliations to support various stakeholders and auditors. What You'll Be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include - Prepare the MDA including business level reasonings, Cash flow statement and Annual Notes. - Preparation of Input file on Quarterly basis for Eckler Milliman (Undiscounted). Providing data support/ input templates for quarterly and annual statutory financial Statements as per Canada GAAP (IFRS 17), - Perform the Case, Paid and Premium Reconciliation at Policy Level on annual basis with LOB split. - Book accounting entries for Quota share, CDCA and Reserve roll for XLSP, Intercompany journals and IFRS to STAT journals etc. - Work on any data request from internal management/ external agencies/ auditors. - Preparing BAAT ratio and P&C Schedule and do detailed analytics on for the same. - Highly focused on automation/ simplification of the templates/ data requirement wherever possible. - Detailed analysis of reserve data and all technical accounts. - Participate in projects as required to ensure that financial data are handled in full accordance with statutory requirements. You will report to Manager, Finance. What You Will BRING We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills And Abilities - CA with at relevant years of experience in an organization of repute. - Good accounting knowledge, with rexcellent understanding of Financial Statements (P&L and BS). - Outstanding command over excel. - Ability to work with large amount of data. - Effective analytical skills and the ability to work resiliently and bring tasks to closure. Desired Skills And Abilities - Basic Insurance accounting knowledge preferred. - Able to work extended hours during critical times - Good spoken & written Communication & interpersonal skills. - Willing to travel to US/ Bermuda for training, if required.
