1. Job Overview We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chinese Cook to join our Fast Food Counter team. The role involves preparing and cooking a wide variety of Chinese fast food dishes quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Chinese cuisine, including noodles, fried rice, momos, soups, starters, and other popular fast-food dishes. The cook should also be capable of working under pressure, managing multiple orders at once, and delivering excellent food quality to ensure customer satisfaction. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese fast food dishes such as noodles, fried rice, soups, spring rolls, momos, dim sums, and other starters. Follow standardized recipes and maintain consistency in taste and quality. Handle kitchen equipment safely, including woks, fryers, steamers, and chopping tools. Maintain proper portion control to reduce wastage and optimize costs. B. Fast Food Counter Management Manage live cooking stations at the counter, ensuring fast service during peak hours. Ensure that prepared dishes are served hot, fresh, and well-presented. Work closely with the serving staff to deliver orders quickly and accurately. C. Hygiene & Food Safety Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and counter areas. Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper storage of raw and cooked ingredients. Regularly clean cooking utensils, kitchen equipment, and preparation surfaces. Monitor ingredient freshness and report shortages or quality issues to the supervisor. D. Inventory & Stock Management Assist in managing inventory levels for vegetables, sauces, noodles, and other ingredients. Keep track of daily consumption and avoid overstocking or wastage. Coordinate with the store manager or kitchen supervisor for timely ingredient procurement. E. Customer Interaction (Optional, if required) Occasionally interact with customers to take feedback and customize dishes as per preferences. Maintain a polite and friendly attitude at the fast food counter to enhance customer experience. 3. Required Skills and Competencies A. Culinary Skills Good knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, sauces, spices, and preparation methods. Ability to manage wok cooking, stir-frying, steaming, and deep-frying effectively. Experience in preparing fast-moving dishes quickly without compromising quality. B. Speed & Efficiency Ability to work under pressure and handle high-order volumes during rush hours. Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple dishes simultaneously. C. Hygiene & Safety Awareness Knowledge of FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) guidelines is an added advantage. Adherence to kitchen safety and food handling protocols. D. Teamwork & Communication Work effectively with kitchen staff, serving teams, and management.
