About the role -

The University of Western Australia (UWA) is seeking a skilled Manager – Government and Industry Relations to support the establishment of UWA's India campuses and advance its India Strategy. Reporting to the Director – Global Growth and Advocacy, this full-time role involves building strategic relationships with government agencies, industry bodies, and chambers of commerce across South Asia. The role includes managing extensive networks across government and industry, advocacy planning, stakeholder engagement, delivering a range of programs related to government and industry engagement. Candidates must have relevant tertiary qualifications, strong political acumen, cross-cultural communication skills, and experience in high-level negotiations.

About the Office -

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement leads initiatives focused on achievement of global engagement, transnational education and the internationalisation strategy. The team works collaboratively across the University to progress global strategy and projects, global partnerships, global advocacy, developing and supporting global relationships with key stakeholders, such as government and industry leaders. It establishes strategic partnerships, transnational education programs, identifies global opportunities for UWA and maintains strong relationships with global education, research, public and private sector organisations worldwide.
