What You'll Do As a Software Engineer on the TTU (Teradata Tools and Utilities) project, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of client-side tools that support Teradata's database ecosystem. These tools are essential for data movement, management, and integration, and play a critical role in customer workflows. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Designing, developing, and maintaining features in TTU tools with a focus on performance, reliability, and usability. Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern development practices. Creating and executing unit and integration tests to ensure software quality. Participating in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Supporting product releases and resolving customer-reported issues. Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automation efforts and package creation. Developing agent-driven testing workflows This is an individual contributor role reporting to an Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is passionate about building robust software tools, AI and enjoys working in a collaborative, agile environment. Who You'll Work With You'll work closely with: Project team members including developers, testers, and architects. Engineering Manager and other stakeholders across product and UX teams. What Makes You a Qualified Candidate B. Tech / M. Tech in Computer Science or related field. 1+ years of experience in software development, preferably in C, C++. Strong understanding of C, C++ and Python programming and data structures. Good knowledge of SQL and RDBMS concepts. Experience with multithreading and concurrent programming in C, C++. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Understanding of test frameworks and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git. Knowledge of Teradata Database and TTU tools is an advantage. Bonus: Experience with AI/ML orchestration tools such as LangChain or MLflow. What You'll Bring Ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance software components. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Experience in writing automated tests and maintaining test coverage. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools. Passion for building developer-centric tools and improving user experience. Interest in AI/ML and its integration into enterprise software is a plus.
