Roles and Responsibilities:
Design & Implementation: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance
end to end of complex network infrastructure utilizing Cisco, Fortinet, and Aruba
wireless devices to ensure reliable and secure networking environments. The
environment may vary from offices to huge warehouses and retail stores.
Deployment Planning & Execution: Plan and lead the execution of
comprehensive network deployment projects. Oversee tasks including work
planning, scheduling, metrics tracking, training, and resource management to
ensure successful project execution.
Network Configuration: Configure and manage routers, switches, and other
network devices for high availability, redundancy, and scalability. Ensure optimal
routing and switching configurations are implemented.
Firewall & Wireless Implementation: Implement and manage FortiGate, Palo
Alto, firewalls to secure network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with
security protocols and best practices.
Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with routing
protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching configurations (VLAN, trunking), and network
device issues (routers, switches). Provide advanced troubleshooting and support
to ensure uptime and high-performance network systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams
(Security, Infrastructure, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of new technologies
and solutions into the existing network infrastructure.
Network Monitoring & Performance: Regularly monitor network performance to
identify bottlenecks, resolve issues, and make recommendations based on
network performance analysis and data insights.
Wireless Integration: Implement and support Cisco, Aruba, Juniper wireless
solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other network systems and
Fortinet security appliances for comprehensive network management.
Routing Protocols & VLAN Configuration: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot
complex routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and VLAN configurations across
Aruba and Fortinet platforms.
Network Access Control: Work with Aruba ClearPass for advanced network
access control, ensuring a secure and compliant network environment.
Centralized Logging & Monitoring: Implement Fortinets FortiSIEM/Analyzer for
centralized logging, monitoring, and analysis, ensuring proactive management of
network security events.
Mentorship & Training: Mentor and provide technical training to L1 and L2
engineers on Aruba and Fortinet technologies, supporting knowledge
development and skill enhancement.
Knowledge Base & Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining
knowledge bases and technical documentation for internal use, ensuring that
network configurations and procedures are well-documented.
Change Management & Handover: Implement network changes, test
configurations, and ensure a smooth handover to the customer, following
change management protocols.
Job Requirements:
Experience: 8-10 years as a Network Engineer, with at least 6 years in
operational support or management roles in networking.
Technical Expertise:
o Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with SD-WAN, LAN
segmentation, Cisco switches, routers, and wireless devices (Access
Points & Controllers).
o Expertise in firewalls, including Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and
others.
o Experience with Riverbed bandwidth optimizers, F5 Load Balancers, and
NetScaler.
Certifications:
o CCNA/CCNP (mandatory), with a deep understanding of routing
protocols, VLANs, and network design.
o Experience in configuring and managing FortiGate firewalls and Cisco
ASA firewalls.
o Wireless Experience of Heat Map Creation using Ekahu will be add on
Network Management Tools: Experience with Aruba Wireless solutions and
managing wireless networks. Familiarity with Fortinets FortiSIEM/Analyzer is a
plus.
Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
o Ability to identify potential network failures and provide solutions before
they impact operations.
Additional Skills:
o Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary
team.
o Ability to create and update knowledge bases and contribute to technical
documentation.
o Hands on experience of HLD & LLD creation for documentation
