Job Description

The role of a social media intern is to create, execute and manage social media marketing campaigns and strategies that promote a companys brand, increase its online presence, and drive engagement and conversions.

Here are some of the key roles and responsibilities of a social media intern:

Strategy Development: The primary responsibility of a social media intern is to develop a social media strategy that aligns with the companys overall marketing and branding goals. This includes identifying target audiences, selecting social media channels, and creating a content plan.

Content Creation: Social media interns are responsible for creating engaging and shareable content for social media channels, including images, videos, and written posts.

Community Management: Social media interns engage with and respond to followers and comments on social media channels, fostering a positive community and addressing concerns or complaints.

Analytics and Reporting: Social media interns analyse metrics on social media, such as engagement rates, follower growth, and conversion rates, and use this data to optimise their social media strategy and report on performance to management.

Collaboration: Social media interns work closely with other members of the marketing and creative teams, such as designers and content writers, to ensure that social media content aligns with the companys overall branding and messaging.

Paid Social Advertising: Social media interns create and manage paid social media advertising campaigns, select target audiences and ad formats, and monitor and optimise campaign performance.

Staying Up to Date: Social media interns must stay up-to-date with social media trends, best practices, and changes to algorithms and policies and adjust their strategy accordingly.

Overall, a Social Media intern is responsible for creating and executing a social media strategy that promotes the companys brand, increases its online presence, and drives engagement and conversions. Requirements Of a Social Media Intern

- Bachelors degree (Domain-specific courses would be an addition to the role)
- Proven Work Experience with Social Media (preferably 0-6 Months)
- Willing to work from the office (5 days a week)
- Fluency in the English Language is mandatory.
- Adaptability and creativity with respect to the latest Social Media Trends.
