Job Overview About The Role We're looking for a seasoned Technical Lead with a proven track record in leading large, cross-functional engineering teams and driving enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on with PHP (Laravel), React, Python, and Java, and has deep expertise in code review processes, CI/CD automation, and scalable system design. This role is pivotal in shaping and scaling our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Shopify-integrated applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and clean engineering governance. Key Responsibilities - Technical Leadership: Lead a multi-skilled engineering team (backend, frontend, and DevOps) across multiple parallel projects. - Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and optimize full-stack solutions for WMS and Shopify-based systems. - Code Governance: Conduct rigorous code reviews, enforce clean architecture, modular design, and adherence to secure coding practices. - CI/CD & DevOps Ownership:Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.Collaborate with DevOps to implement containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code best practices. - Integration Expertise: Manage and extend Shopify APIs, webhooks, and third-party logistics integrations. - Team Management: Mentor, guide, and scale a large team of engineers setting expectations, conducting performance reviews, and building succession depth. - Technical Strategy: Work with product and delivery leaders to translate business needs into scalable technical roadmaps. - Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement across performance, maintainability, and automation maturity. Core Technical Skills Essential - Expert-level PHP 8+ / Laravel experience. - Strong proficiency with React.js and component-based front-end architecture. - Practical working knowledge of Python and Java for integrations or microservices. - Deep understanding of RESTful API design, Shopify integration models, and data flows in WMS environments. - Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent). - Strong database design and optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL). - Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Preferred - Experience managing distributed teams across time zones. - Exposure to WMS/ERP integration or supply chain systems. - Working knowledge of message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka) and microservices communication patterns. - Familiarity with Shopify Liquid, Headless Commerce, and GraphQL.
