Job Title: Assistant Manager Demand Planning Analyst

About The Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and driven individual to lead demand forecasting and inventory planning for our fast-growing CPG portfolio. The ideal candidate will act as a key bridge between sales, supply chain, and sourcing teams to ensure the right product is available at the right place, at the right time while minimizing costs and stock risks. This role requires strong business acumen, data orientation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

- Demand Planning & Forecasting Build monthly and weekly demand forecasts at SKU-channel-location level using historical data, sales inputs, and market intelligence. Run forecast accuracy analysis and drive actions to continuously improve accuracy (MAPE / Bias). Partner closely with sales & marketing to align forecasts with business plans and new launches.
- Inventory Planning & Allocation Define inventory norms by category/channel and track adherence across locations. Plan and execute allocation strategies to balance availability and working capital. Track inbound vs. demand to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory situations. Work with sourcing and supply teams to align supply plans with demand signals.
- SOP & Stakeholder Alignment Drive weekly & monthly demand planning reviews with sales, supply, sourcing, and finance. Highlight gaps, risks, and opportunities to leadership with clear action plans. Ensure timely communication of forecast changes and inventory actions to stakeholders.
- Analytics & Reporting Create dashboards for demand, inventory health (DOH, SWIS, coverage), and fill rates. Deep dive into trends, seasonality, and exceptions to recommend strategic actions. Support automation and data structure improvement initiatives to enable faster planning cycles.
- Process Improvement & New Capabilities Identify planning process gaps and lead improvement initiatives (e.g., better NPD forecasting, shelf-life planning, multi-echelon inventory optimization). Work with tech & BI teams to strengthen planning tools and system capabilities.

Key Requirements

2-3 years of experience in Demand Planning / Inventory Management / Supply Chain Planning in FMCG, CPG, Retail, or eCommerce.

Proficient in Excel and strong understanding of planning tools (Hands on experience of SQL/Python is plus)

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments and handle ambiguity.
