NOTE Job posting may be removed earlier if the position is filled or if a sufficient number of applications are received Meet the Team Do you have a passion for technology Have you ever thought to yourself I could build this better Do you feel you have ideas for how to learn teach or sell Cisco technologies in new and creative ways If you answered yes then the Global Networking Solution Engineering team is the team for you As global solutions engineers we are a world-class team that builds the bridge that makes transformation possible for our fellow sellers customers and for Cisco Our focus is on Cisco networking technologies and how our routing switching wireless and security platforms solve customer challenges and deliver business outcomes Assets we deliver comprise the most used demonstrations in Cisco and strategic platforms that every architecture leverages like Capture the Flag and Design Thinking If you want to leverage your technical excellence and take the next step in career to deliver strategic innovation that drives sales growth come join our team Your Impact As part of the Global Networking SE team you ll be a senior customer-focused technical sales professional with intimate knowledge of customer-specific business drivers and networking environments including adjacent technology and solution areas You ll act as an advisor to our customers Partnering with account teams you will demonstrate the business value of Cisco solutions and architectures by aligning opportunities with a 3-5 year architectural vision while driving adoption of current solutions to realize the vision and drive customer digital transformation You will serve as the lead advocate for customers translating technical needs into product development recommendations lab testing of Cisco solutions and driving customer engagement features internally within Cisco As a Solutions Engineer you will Architect design and communicate a technical solution vision and integrate that into existing customer networking environments Passionate about redefining the customers next-generation secure network to be AI-ready Build total solutions with the use of APIs and programming skills to integrate Cisco solutions into customer workflows Add new value to our automation solution by programming specific use cases for customers to help them understand the capabilities of integrating Cisco solutions into their operational workflow Skillfully demonstrate the architectural vision to different levels with an organization Develop and communicate relevant business outcomes via written proposals presentations briefings and demonstrations Develop and implement objectives and personal growth plans to ensure continuous leadership within the technical sales organization Work in a cross-functional team with representatives from product management engineering and other organizations to spur innovation and development of the existing and future product sets Participate in and drive cross-architectural design engagements to build and demonstrate cross-domain solutions Mentor developing team members Act as a leader by driving team initiatives contributing to virtual teams and sharing knowledge with others Minimum Qualifications 7 to 10 years experience in the enterprise networking space crafting architecting and implementing enterprise-grade networks Advanced technical knowledge in two or more of the following network fields Campus Wireless Security Network Automation Software Defined Networking API Integration AI Python or similar programming Customer facing experience in designing and deploying production grade networks Additional knowledge in AI Data Center Collaboration environments is a plus Understanding of workflows in a hosted environment Proven self-starter and innovator with an ability to focus and achieve goals Validated relationship building skills and presentation skills Team-centric approach to work and culture Perform daily with the highest standards of excellence Bachelor of Science degree Preferred Qualifications CCIE Route Switch Security or relevant 10 years experience Demonstrates thought leadership and expertise in the latest enablement trends tools programs and technologies Skilled in data analysis and translating metrics into actionable insights that inform business decisions and evaluate program efficacy and effectiveness Experience managing a comprehensive suite of enablement tools and platforms such as Webex Vidcast MindTickle to ensure content is accessible current and engaging Experience with multiple enablement delivery methodologies Why Cisco At Cisco we re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - we power the future Fueled by the depth and breadth of our technology we experiment and create meaningful solutions Add to that our worldwide network of doers and experts and you ll see that the opportunities to grow and build are limitless We work as a team collaborating with empathy to make really big things happen on a global scale Because our solutions are everywhere our impact is everywhere We are Cisco and our power starts with you Message to applicants applying to work in the U S and or Canada When available the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire full-time salaries in U S and or Canada locations not including equity or benefits For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target Individual pay is determined by the candidate s hiring location and additional factors including but not limited to skillset experience and relevant education certifications or training Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U S or Canada hiring location The recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process U S employees have to quality medical dental and vision insurance a 401 k plan with a Cisco matching contribution short and long-term disability coverage basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year which includes one floating holiday for non-exempt employees plus a day off for their birthday Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year at a rate of 4 92 hours per pay period Exempt new hires participate in Cisco s flexible Vacation Time Off policy which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use but is subject to availability and some business limitations All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty 80 hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary which is split between quota and non-quota components For quota-based incentive pay Cisco typically pays as follows 75 of incentive target for each 1 of revenue attainment up to 50 of quota 1 5 of incentive target for each 1 of attainment between 50 and 75 1 of incentive target for each 1 of attainment between 75 and 100 and once performance exceeds 100 attainment incentive rates are at or above 1 for each 1 of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives Cisco may pay up to 125 of target Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid
