Job Description Position Title Manager PD - Core Bakery Function R&D Stakeholders Internal Functional Heads and other Category Leads of R&D and Quality, Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, HRBP etc. External Ingredients and Equipment Vendors Universities and colleges Technology Experts Consultants Location Bidadi, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Key Job Responsibilities Design products and services Develop New Products - Understand marketing brief and convert into recipe and specifications for assigned projects for local and export markets. Create concept samples and conduct feasibility studies. Source ingredients from suppliers, and conduct pilot plant trails and then scale up in actual production centre to provide samples for market research; Check on legal compliance, calculate costs, identify ingredients and equipment requirements. Vendor Management - Coordinate and Recommend business partners and vendors for supporting on projects and ingredients Provide Engineering Support - Help in identifying technology, suppliers and equipment manufacturers for equipment and process up gradation; Produce and deliver products and services - Support engineering in sourcing / developing equipment for new products in order to ensure availability of appropriate machinery for production Market and sell Understand Markets - Competitor Understanding, Support market intelligence and collect and analyze competitor samples from the market; With brand teams validate findings of pilot plant trials through market research in order to ensure products are acceptable in the market through defined and agreed consumer preference testing methodologies. Manage information resources and technology Manage Documentation Availability And Features Prepare product and process standards documents and circulate to designated teams Finish all back end formalities and documentations to ensure timely development and commercialization of innovations Manage Brands - All round product renovations of products and brands under purview, conduct technical feasibility, collect data and evaluate products and machines, conduct pilot plant trials, scale up and support in order to ensure timely and successful renovation /innovation of products Updating of technical documentation regarding recipe and co-ordinate with support functions to enable transfer of technical info in order to share accurate information in a timely manner Others Experience in Multiple Product Platforms and New Business Projects will be an added advantage Education Qualification Post Graduate, preferably in Food Technology and Related Fields Desired competencies Knowledge of Food Products Research and Development, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Quality Assurance Team Management Skills Including Collaboration, Influencing and Stake Holder Management Experience (yrs) 15+ Years of Experience in Food Science & Technology preferably Bakery Products (Product Development or R&D function).Added Experience of 3 - 5 years in Manufacturing / Quality will be preferable.
