About EvernorthEvernorth Health Services a division of The Cigna Group NYSE CI creates pharmacy care and benefits solutions to improve health and increase vitality We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction prevention and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people About Evernorth Evernorth Health Services a division of The Cigna Group NYSE CI creates pharmacy care and benefits solutions to improve health and increase vitality We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction prevention and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people Application Development Senior AdvisorPosition Overview Strong Production Support candidate with the ability to analyze issues and work with team members and across organizations to determine root cause and implement solutions Work closely with application development team to promote best practices for operational readiness Effective communication and collaboration skills Ability to coordinate with internal and external resources as necessary to isolate and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues Manage internal escalations and resolutions and invoke escalation procedures appropriately Work with application development architects and business analysts to understand the business technical and infrastructure needs May coordinate with managers to plan and integrate solutions across technologies Responsibilities Partner with the enterprise IT organization to design and deliver solutions within the specialty environment that improve overall COE goals and metrics Oversee the analysis design development and release of new capabilities in an agile development environment Transform the work structure for getting IT work completed generating increased efficiency to lower the cost of IT projects Takes responsibility for resolving escalations and reporting back to operations leadership as needed Lead the implementation of the portfolio projects and contribute to technology transformation from the 15 year old technology platform to the future state technology Participation in cross-departmental IT initiatives They will have the added responsibility of creating an environment where new talent can feel welcome and have opportunities for growth This role will establish the creation of teams across several Specialty locations Manages and drives resolutions for high priority production support issues Build and maintain positive relationships with application development team and key business partners Partner with delivery organization to drive production best practices opportunities for improvement Coordinate with the Delivery teams on warranty transition of application changes and new functionality implemented Ability to review the design and development of existing and new IPM IT applications prior to production implementations to ensure application stability and performance Develop subject matter expertise for end-to-end application integration points Ensure that all delivery and production changes meet stakeholder expectations Lead or support incident problem management issues to identify and eliminate root cause Closely collaborate with vendor resources and synergize the team to deliver on service level agreements Track incident volume trends and identify patterns to prioritize solutions QualificationsRequired Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills across applications and database technologies Previous experience supporting cloud hosted applications Strong ITSM background and understanding of best practices related to incident change and problem management Technical background in database technologies Oracle MSSQL PostgreSQL or MongoDB Python UNIX Pega Technical background in supporting various server platforms Linux Windows and Virtualized server environments Understanding of agile application development life cycles and supporting test environments Experience with REST services Experience with alerting and monitoring tools to ensure adherence to service level agreements Experience with application capacity and performance tools Strong written and oral communication skills Create and produce application support documentation Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline strongly preferred typically eight or more years of solid diverse work experience in IT with aminimum of five years experience application development or production support or the equivalent in education and work experienceRequired Experience Education Bachelors Degree Required Masters Degree Preferred 10 years of IT experience Location Hours of Work Full-time position working 40 hours per week Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad India with flexibility to work remotely as required
