Location Koparkhairne About Client It is International plc is a British speciality chemicals company based at Snaith England It is listed on the London Stock Exchange Position Name Technical Service Executive Location Address NAVI MUMBAI 400710 India Job Role- The incumbent will have to use technical knowledge and experience to help develop new products and advise customers in the use of our products in the industrial coatings industry He She must possess technical knowledge in paints and coatings formulation and applications methods Knowledge of surfactant systems specifications various tests and testing methods associated with paints and coatings Appreciation of new trends regulatory requirements in the coatings industry In this role you will collaborate internally and externally to identify invent and develop innovative technologies and generate fundamental scientific understanding You will design and carry out suitable experimental experiments focusing on products supporting Industrial paints and surface coating Provide technical inputs and guidance to applications scientists and marketing staff to support new product development projects carried out by the applications department Provide a technical support service to sales marketing e g answering customer technical enquiries recommending products participating in customer technical visits training Manages own projects over 0 - 6 months Responsible for prioritising multiple projects using the available resources Decides how to proceed with next experiment stage of the project Advice and assistance are readily available for decisions with regards to identification of raw material substitutes and quality related problems The role carries no line management responsibility Regularly communicate influence and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders to promote and extend the use of Croda products thus building relationships with production R D technical sales and marketing contacts both internally and externally within a market area Communication is verbal e-mail technical reports and presentations internally and externally Through contacts made by the line manager and senior technical personnel the role holder is expected to maintain relationships with and engage with technical institutes and industry fora to improve methods processes and technologies within the discipline The role holder is expected to maintain understanding of market trends To assist in business development in the designated market sector Communication with Peers in own and other research and application groups b senior R D management c production technical sales and marketing departments d Customers technical and commercial staff e External technical and industry bodies - Proportion of time between external and internal contacts 40 60 internal external Essentials Education Ph D Coatings and Polymers M tech Coatings and Polymers B Tech Coatings and Polymers Experience 6- 10 years of experience in Formulation development for Paints and Coatings Desirables Detailed technical knowledge of the company s products and technologies In - depth understanding of the technical and market trends in the Paints and Coatings Industry Experience of generation and exploitation of intellectual property An in -depth understanding of technical and market trends Ability to creatively generate commercially viable solutions to customer problems Excellent written and verbal communication skill
