Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Privacy Consultant to design, implement, and enhance data privacy frameworks and compliance programs aligned with global regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and others. The ideal candidate will help organizations assess risk, establish privacy governance, and integrate privacy controls into enterprise systems and data operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
- Design and implement data privacy policies, frameworks, and governance structures.
- Advise on compliance with global regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Collaborate with legal, IT, data governance, and security teams.
- Identify and map data flows and support the creation of records of processing activities (RoPA).
- Define consent management and data subject access request (DSAR) processes.
- Help implement privacy-by-design practices in software and data architecture.
Requirements
- 4+ years in data governance, compliance, or privacy consulting.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with privacy tools like OneTrust, BigID, TrustArc, or similar.
- Familiarity with data discovery, classification, and cataloging tools.
- Certifications preferred: CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT.
