Category Head

Our client is leading name in the retail industry and are looking to hire a Category Head.
The incumbet will lead and grow the modular furniture business across categories, cities, price points, and customer segments. Drive strategic growth levers, optimize operations, and ensure alignment between sales, operations, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute growth strategies across categories, brands, and markets.
- Monitor performance vs. targets; identify gaps and drive corrective actions with revenue teams.
- Act as the bridge between sales, operations, customers, and senior leadership.
- Maximize profitability through optimal product mix, pricing, discounting, and marketing.
- Track top-line and bottom-line metrics; implement initiatives to boost both.
- Collaborate with partners and planning teams for optimal inventory based on projections.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships and secure buy-in for key business initiatives.
- Build and lead a high-performing category management team.
Expertise & Qualifications
- MBA from a premier B-school.
- 812 years experience with 2+ years in P&L management.
- Proven success in managing multiple categories and direct sales alignment.
- Experience in building businesses from scratch and navigating uncertainties.
- Strong problem-structuring and process implementation skills.
- 2+ years in people management with a track record of leading high performers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at creating business documents and presenting to senior stakeholders.
