Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Networking Hardware Support Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our network and hardware systems supporting both internal teams and client-facing applications Key Responsibilities Network Infrastructure Management Install configure and maintain network devices such as routers switches and firewalls Ensure optimal performance and security of the network infrastructure Hardware Support Oversee the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware including servers workstations and peripheral devices Technical Support Provide timely and effective support to end-users for network and hardware-related issues Document and track incidents using ticketing systems System Monitoring Monitor network performance and hardware health proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to minimize downtime Collaboration Work closely with the software development and IT teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application requirements and performance standards Documentation Maintain detailed records of network configurations hardware inventories and support activities Training Mentorship Assist in training junior IT staff and end-users on best practices for hardware and network usage Required Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field Experience Minimum of 4 years in a networking and hardware support role preferably within an IT services environment Certifications Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network Cisco CCNA or equivalent are good to have Technical Skills Proficiency in network protocols TCP IP DNS DHCP hardware troubleshooting and familiarity with network monitoring tools Problem-Solving Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and network issues Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Advanced Certifications Cisco CCNP CompTIA Security or similar advanced certifications Experience with Virtualization Familiarity with virtualized environments and cloud platforms Scripting Skills Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks is a plus Industry Knowledge Experience in a software development or IT services company with a focus on infrastructure support Compensation Benefits Salary Competitive and commensurate with experience Benefits Health insurance paid time off professional development opportunities and a collaborative work environment
