The Mid Generalist Asset Artist is responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets across a variety of categories including characters props and environments This role involves proficiency in modeling texturing and lookdev to deliver assets that meet both creative and technical requirements Requirements Duties Asset Creation Model texture and lookdev 3D assets characters props environments in line with project briefs and technical specs Maintain and promote good practices delivering assets on time meeting artistic intent and technical guidelines Collaboration Work closely with lookdev rigging lighting and compositing to ensure assets are production-ready and integrate smoothly Asset Optimisation Ensure assets are efficient clean and built for reuse in a scalable pipeline Problem Solving Address day-to-day asset issues independently with support from seniors or leads as needed Communication Keep the team updated on progress and flag blockers early Scene Organisation Maintain clean accessible scene files that meet studio standards Documentation Contribute to documentation or notes that support asset handoff and reuse Feedback Be open to feedback and work iteratively to reach final quality Skills attributes and experience Proficient in Maya ZBrush Mari Substance Painter and Arnold or equivalent Solid understanding of modeling UVs texturing and shading Working knowledge of rendering lighting and asset publishing Familiarity with USD workflows Maya Houdini Nuke experience is a must Basic scripting or tool awareness 4-5 years in VFX or a related field Excellent communicator sharing information clearly and actively listening Strong time management ability to prioritize meet deadlines and escalate delays in a timely manner Adaptable to change with the ability to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude Driven to make things better with flexibility to change course when needed Positive energy focusing on results and having a positive impact on those around you Self awareness and an ability to resolve and diffuse problems treating others with kindness and respect Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well with others
