Job Description – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Business Finance Intelligence

Location: Gurgaon, India

Role Summary:

As the Manager - Business Finance, you will oversee core FP&A and Business Finance Intelligence functions within People Matters, collaborating with internal stakeholders, investors, and partners to ensure financial health and operational efficiency. This role is key in driving the overall success of the company, as you will manage vital processes, from budgeting and forecasting to compliance and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Modelling & Decision Support: Build robust financial models from multiple data sources to support business decisions and guide strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Budgeting & Financial Planning: Lead the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of the firm's budget; drive forecasting, annual planning, business analysis, business performance reporting, and strategic business planning processes.
- Operational Analysis: Analyze operations, revenue, and expenses to support decisions regarding margins and other business objectives.
- Audit & Compliance: Partner with service providers to facilitate audits, tax filings, and essential financial activities; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, investor commitments and internal policies.
- Cash Flow & Expense Management: Oversee cash flow to ensure timely payments for salaries, creditors, and daily expenses.
- Investor Reporting: Present BOD decks and reports to investors, providing insights into client activities and investment impact.
- Process Optimization & Risk Management: Strengthen processes related to payments, collections, compliance, and risk management, aiming for streamlined and efficient operations.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize Power BI/Tableau to prepare Management Information Systems (MIS) reports, providing actionable insights for key stakeholders.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and maintain high-quality partnerships with vendors and suppliers.
