LOCATION : Gurgaon REPORTS TO : Application Lead, Beverage, & Sensory & Innovation Process Lead, APAC DIRECT REPORTS : None WORKPLACE TYPE : Hybrid The Food Technologist will provide application support to promote Ingredion's Texture and Healthful solutions. This role combines technical expertise with customer engagement to deliver innovative solutions that meet market needs, bringing the potential of people, nature, and technology together to make life better. What You Will Do Technical Support - Provide technical support for a broad range of food applications. - Apply product and application knowledge to identify customer solutions. - Execute well-defined experiments and prepare food prototypes. - Build collaborative relationships with customers and internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Quality, Applications). - Support implementation of Ingredion's Sugar Reduction & Specialty Sweetener Strategy, including marketing campaigns and new product launches. Strategic Customer Engagement - Understand customer strategies and translate them into actionable technical requirements. - Identify opportunities for customers to enhance and diversify their product offerings using Ingredion's solutions. - Deliver tailored, value-added support to foster long-term partnerships and drive mutual growth. Account Handling - Manage assigned key accounts and collaborate with distributors to drive business growth. - Train distributor teams to promote products and implement portfolio-based concepts. - Execute Innovation Days and represent Ingredion at food exhibitions to showcase solutions and stay informed on market trends. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with consumer insights, marketing, business segments, quality, regulatory, and R&D teams. - Support customer queries and provide technical documentation. What You Will Bring - B.Tech/M.Sc in Food Science, Food Engineering, or Chemical Engineering - 8 years experience working in food formulations, food processing specifications, pilot plant procedures, etc. - Experience in beverage or dairy category is preferred - Good sensory skills - Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Desirable Requirements - Ability to travel 30% domestically. - Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation. - Excellent communication and presentation skills for large or senior audiences. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity. - Knowledge of food applications, ingredient functionality, and interactions. - Experience with sweeteners (nutritive, polyols, high-potency) and beverage/dairy applications. - Project management skills to deliver projects on time and prioritize shifting customer needs.
