Scrub Nurse

Job Summary The Scrub Nurse is responsible for preparing the operating room assisting the surgical team during procedures and maintaining a sterile environment They work closely with surgeons anesthetists and other nursing staff to ensure surgical operations are performed efficiently safely and with the highest standards of care Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments before during and after surgery Assist surgeons directly by passing instruments sponges and other necessary items during surgical procedures Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and functioning correctly Conduct pre-operative checks on instruments equipment and surgical supplies Count instruments sponges and needles before and after the operation to prevent retention Monitor and maintain aseptic techniques and infection control practices at all times Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond effectively Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping related to surgical procedures Collaborate with circulating nurses anesthetists and other OT staff for smooth surgical workflow Participate in post-operative care and debriefing if needed Qualifications and Experience GNM B Sc Nursing from a recognized institution Must be a registered nurse with the State Nursing Council Certification or experience in Operation Theatre OT nursing is preferred 1-3 years of experience in an OT setup preferably in a multispecialty or surgical hospital Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay From 25 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Fixed shift Morning shift Supplemental Pay Overtime pay Performance bonus Yearly bonus Work Location In person
