Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and eager-to-learn Junior Desktop Engineer to join our IT support team. This foundational role is ideal for individuals looking to build hands-on experience in desktop management and workplace technology. You'll be responsible for providing technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and supporting essential IT services such as printing and network access.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide first-level technical support for desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, software applications, and hardware
- Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop environments
- Support printing services, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of printers
- Handle basic network connectivity issues (e.g., Wi-Fi, LAN access, VPN setup)
- Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions
- Collaborate with senior engineers and IT staff to escalate and resolve complex issues
- Participate in routine system checks and updates to ensure optimal performance

Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
- Familiarity with common office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment
- Prior internship or helpdesk experience is a plus but not required
