Are you a problem solver explorer and knowledge seeker - always asking What ifIf so you may be the new team member were looking for Because at SAS your curiosity matters - whether youre developing algorithms creating customer experiences or answering critical questions Curiosity is our code and the opportunities here are endless What we doWere the leader in analytics Through our software and services we inspire customers around the world to transform data into intelligence Our curiosity fuels innovation pushing boundaries challenging the status quo and changing the way we live SAS Infrastructure as a Service IaaS Team is a service organization responsible for providing IT support for our full spectrum of SAS Solutions to Infrastructure Platform Services Additionally the Infrastructure as a Service IaaS team works with other SAS IT teams to improve our service catalog offerings to our customers including helping to implement next generation technologies As an Engineer in the SAS Infrastructure as a Service IaaS team you will use your communication and technical skills to support internal and external customers in our hosted internal environment You will help design implement and support a large heterogeneous computing environment You will be responsible for helping to maintain Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements and improve the performance reliability and standardization of our hosted internal solutions This specific request is for a Microsoft Windows Information Systems EngineerResponsibilities would include To provide overall Windows based delivery support for the hosting environment including direct support for hosting customer escalations Complete Windows Server Administration Delivery Requests To improve our time to delivery for service catalog service offerings Server Admin tasks - setting configuration tweaks attaching storage OS level configurations etc Server builds Loading and configuring software Complete Tech Debt refreshes Complete Security updates Complete IP Allow-listing tasks Complete migrations of servers physical and virtual and applications to both the new Cary Windows Server and Microsoft Azure Instance and environment decommissions RDP Gateway installations and configurations URL Externalizations To work with the Compliance team for audit evidence CIS benchmarks and other compliance requirements for our regulated hosting environments To work with Azure APIs for automation integration of standard supported services Work with Active directory and group policies Technology Vendor experience if possible Microsoft Windows Server experience Microsoft Azure deployment of Windows based systems and RDP gateways Tanium AWS background VMWare Experience 5-10 YearsEssential Bachelor s degree in Computer Information Systems Computer Science or related quantitative field Minimum 5 years of experience as an Information Systems Engineer in a heterogeneous dynamic customer-focused environment Excellent troubleshooting skills on MS Windows Server Redhat Linux VMware Knowledge of operating systems utilities services and editors for Windows Server Experience with infrastructure architecture including Servers Network Security Storage and Backup Services to allow for efficient implementation and non-disruptive expansion and upgrades Experience in scripting languages PowerShell Python Bash etc automation tools Good working knowledge of cloud infrastructure AWS Azure etc Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule Preferences Collaborative team experience with superior problem-solving skills Ability to triage requests with multiple admin resource groups Understanding best practices around information security and data privacy in relation to system access and availability Experience with DevOps tools will be an added advantage Why SASWe love living the SASlife and believe that happy healthy people have a passion for life and bring that energy to work No matter what your specialty or where you are in the world your unique contributions will make a difference Our multi-dimensional culture blends our different backgrounds experiences and perspectives Here it isnt about fitting into our culture its about adding to it - and we cant wait to see what youll bring
