Database Administrator

Job Description We are looking for a SQL Server Database Administrator with strong performance tuning and TSQL skills to help manage a large enterprise fleet in the cloud. The successful candidate will have deep database knowledge, Performance Tuning skillset, very strong problem-solving skills, and project management skills. Experience with other database management systems such as Postgres, Aurora or Oracle is required. Cloud Experience strongly preferred. Essential Duties: * Understanding of SQL Server and Microsoft Windows. This includes backups, recovery, and tuning * Programming/Scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, or other scripting languages * PowerShell and T-SQL programming and Execution * SQL Server Database Administration and Performance-Tuning * Participation in DevOps processes * Windows O.S. management and Tuning * Backup and Recovery tasks * Capacity planning * hands-on/experience with AWS services * Strong Knowledge of Aurora/Postgres and Oracle is a must. * Knowledge of other operating systems such as Linux. * Problem-solving skills * Project management skills * Experience with Storage systems * Experience with Networks * Flexibility to work in different shifts.
