Job Title: ClickHouse Database Administrator Location: Hyderabad Employment type: Full-time Experience level: 8+ Yrs Key Responsibilities: Database Management: Creating, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining ClickHouse databases across various environments, including single-node setups and large-scale clusters with replication and sharding. Performance Optimization: Ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security of ClickHouse databases. This includes performance tuning, query optimization, and schema design improvements. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Implementing and maintaining data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Automation: Automating routine database administration tasks, monitoring, and alerting activities using scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Perl. Security and Compliance: Developing and implementing database security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. Collaboration and Support: Collaborating with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure seamless database integration, provide technical guidance, and support application testing and deployments. Troubleshooting and Incident Management: Participating in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution related to ClickHouse databases. Documentation: Documenting database standards, operational procedures, and technical configurations. Required Skills and Qualifications: ClickHouse Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with ClickHouse administration, including cluster design, replication, sharding, and performance tuning. Database Administration: Strong understanding of database administration principles and best practices. Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Perl for automation and task management. SQL Knowledge: Solid understanding of SQL and experience with query optimization. Linux Administration: Experience with Linux operating systems, as ClickHouse is typically deployed on Linux. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve database issues. Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and provide technical support.
