Job Overview

iCIMS is looking for a cross-functional professional who can drive both technical documentation excellence and Agile Delivery within the Information Security (InfoSec) function. This hybrid role of Technical Writer and Scrum Master will support our InfoSec programs by fostering agile discipline across security projects and by building structured, accurate, and accessible documentation such as runbooks, incident response plans, security workflows, and audit-related documents. This role is critical in managing Internal security initiatives, aligning teams, and capturing tribal security knowledge into scalable, repeatable documentation that can support business continuity, compliance, and operational maturity.

Responsibilities

Scrum Master (InfoSec Focused)

- Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos for supporting security Operations team, GRC, threat management, and vulnerability management teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional deliverables across InfoSec and IT teams.
- Track sprint progress using tools like Jira to generate dashboards and KPIs to report progress.
- Drive alignment between security roadmaps, compliance requirements, and engineering sprints.

Technical Writer (Security Documentation)

- Develop, maintain, and govern InfoSec documentation including:

- Incident response runbooks
- Threat detection & response playbooks
- Vulnerability management SOPs
- Access Management control procedures
- Security architecture or automation flow diagrams

- Standardize documentation templates and ensures version control, accessibility, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with SOC, Engineering & GRC team members to collect and validate technical content.
- Ensure documentation meets both internal quality standards and external compliance/regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
- Support internal/external audits with traceable and consistent documentation.

Qualifications

- 3-6 years of experience in a cybersecurity, DevSecOps, or IT operations environment.
- Prior experience as a Scrum Master in technical or security projects (Scrum certification preferred Ie CSM, PSM).
- Proven experience in technical writing in security, infrastructure, or regulatory documentation.
- Strong knowledge of agile practices and security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and other Office related Software.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
