Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Executive to manage and execute the end-to-end payroll process. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely salary disbursements, compliance with statutory regulations, and effective coordination with internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary revisions, bonuses, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements like EPF, ESIC, TDS, etc.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports and reconciliations to finance and HR departments.
- Manage payroll queries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for payroll inputs such as attendance, leave records, and benefits.
- Liaise with external vendors (e.g., payroll software providers, auditors) as needed.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll.
- Generate payslips and other statutory documentation for employees.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws, taxation, and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems and labor laws.
- Proficiency in payroll software.
- Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of statutory filing portals and online compliance tools.
- Certification in Payroll is an advantage.
