Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Technician - Electrician with a strong background in electrical or electronic systems and mandatory computer knowledge. The primary responsibility of this role is to install, commission, and service machines at customer locations across India. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a willingness to travel extensively. The ideal candidate should have thorough knowledge of electrical components, wiring, troubleshooting, and safety standards, as well as be comfortable working with computer systems for diagnostics, reporting, and system configuration. This is a field-based role that plays a critical part in customer satisfaction, ensuring timely and professional installation of our equipment.Key Responsibilities1. Machine Installation & Commissioning Travel to customer sites across India to install and set up machines and electrical systems as per company standards. Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit diagrams, machine layouts, and installation manuals. Ensure proper wiring, electrical connections, grounding, and safe power supply integration. Test the machine for proper functionality and resolve any startup issues on-site. Coordinate with the internal team for any modifications or part replacements required during installation. 2. Technical Support & Maintenance Provide on-site technical support for machine-related issues and resolve customer complaints efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting for machines under warranty or service contracts. Identify faulty components, replace or repair them, and document the work done. Educate customers on basic machine operation and maintenance procedures after installation. 3. Electrical & Electronic Systems Work with AC/DC motors, control panels, PLCs, switches, wiring harnesses, relays, and other electrical components. Conduct insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, and voltage/current analysis. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern electrical standards and products used in machinery. 4. Computer Integration & Diagnostics Use computer-based diagnostic tools and software for machine calibration, testing, and configuration. Install and update firmware, drivers, and software required for machine operation. Maintain installation reports, service logs, and checklists in digital formats. Report installation data, issues, and customer feedback to the central office using emails, forms, and internal portals. 5. Safety, Compliance & Documentation Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during machine installation and servicing. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company-specific procedures. Maintain detailed records of all tasks performed, including installation forms, service reports, and customer signatures. Submit documentation to the service manager after each assignment. 6. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with clients, warehouse teams, logistics, and technical departments to ensure smooth delivery and installation schedules. Maintain professional behavior and communication with customers at all times. Provide accurate updates and feedback to the supervisor regarding ongoing installations or technical concerns.Required Skills and Qualifications ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field. Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, components, wiring, and machine installation procedures. Basic to intermediate computer knowledge is mandatory – including Microsoft Office, email communication, and machine-related software. Ability to read circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals. Familiar with electrical safety procedures, PPE usage, and government compliance norms. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good verbal communication in Hindi and/or English.
