Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IT Senior IT Analyst Applications ( IT solution Lead) to join our India GCC - Enterprise Data & Integration Services-CAT IT Division

The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield PSN Office, Bangalore, India

What you will do

- The role involves optimizing the SnapLogic ecosystem, improving code efficiency, and identifying automation opportunities.
- Responsibilities includes determining the best-fit integration solutions (SnapLogic, MFT, Qlik, etc.), reducing core costs, and ensuring early engagement in integration planning.
- The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge across software, servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments, along with experience in system architecture, security, and enterprise integration solutions.
- Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- At least 12+ years of experience
- Strong skills in SQL, Java, Phyton and ETL concepts.
- Strong skills with cloud or SaaS integrations like AWS, Snowflake and other.
- Experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Teradata and Oracle.
- Design and Develop ETL jobs and SnapLogic pipelines to manage Project requirements.
- Provide insights to consultants for continuous improvement and participate in projects as needed.
- Review and approve technical decisions from development teams.
- Assessments of AS Is and To Be states, create transformation plans with Benchmarks of future states.
- Evaluate and/or develop Innovative ideas and solutions for the technology stack.
- Participate in technical design specification activities as needed.
- Define and provide training to consultant trainers on Caterpillar-specific tools and processes.
- Work with Technical Leads and business partners to understand and execute availability and Performance in environments (Test, QA, Pre-Prod, Prod).
- Performing implementation and integration tasks for complex developed systems and software solutions.
- Translating business and functional requirements to technical requirements and specifications.
- Communicate and promote the adoption of practices and standards within development teams.
- Capable of thriving in high-pressure situations and delivering results within tight time constraints.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of software, servers, storage, network (load balancers and firewalls), and overall Caterpillar risk domains and cloud domains. Accountable for product Licenses.
- Understanding of systems architecture, and security for external and internal communication.
- Participate in the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture.

- Should have 12+ years of relevant experience in Integrations technologies/areas.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
- Should have development and administrator experience in ETL technologies like DataStage and SnapLogic.
- Should have the ability to learn new skills at a faster pace.
- Should have a good knowledge of Caterpillar policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar's organization.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and conceptualization skills.
- Ability to network with peers and achieve results through others.
- Lead your product developers in the resolution of difficult product design and development issues
- Keep up with Industry changes/standards. Be Initiative-taking about the changes and influencing roadmaps.

Nice to have:

- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases

- Should have development and administrator experience in ETL technologies like DataStage, Qlik replicate and SnapLogic.

- Determine early integration engagement - provide right fit solution for A2A/B2B/DS at project planning (MFT versus SnapLogic versus Qlik versus.)

- Partner with product owners to establish approved patterns across all Data Integration platforms and recommend appropriate solutions.

- Should have the ability to learn new skills at a faster pace.

- Should have a good knowledge of Caterpillar policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar's organization.

- Ability to network with peers and achieve results through others.

- Lead your product developers in the resolution of difficult product design and development issues.

Application Design, Architecture : Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
Level Extensive Experience:
. Facilitates in application design reviews and walkthroughs.
. Creates and evaluates technical alternatives for complex applications.
. Interprets application services such as API integrates them with technical design.
. Develops various, distinct and multiple technical application designs.
. Prepares technical design documents and blueprints for applications.
. Explores and evaluates application design considerations for multiple technologies.

Implementation : Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).
Level Working Knowledge:
. Tracks problems associated with the quality and effectiveness of application software.
. Researches the benefits and drawbacks of an organization's application software.
. Drafts application software usage for the department's needs.
. Provides instant support for end users of application software.
. Implements a specific application software under the supervision of management.
