Key Responsibilities

- Research & Preparation
- Conduct deep research on potential guests, topics, and trending conversations in relevant niches.
- Develop guest background briefs, question banks, and conversation flow notes ahead of each recording.
- Identify cultural hooks, anecdotes, and news angles to make episodes more relevant and timely.
- Script Writing
- Draft opening monologues, segment intros, transitions, and episode summaries.
- Create narrative story arcs for thematic episodes and special segments.
- Write compelling hooks for YouTube intros, reels, and shorts.
- Content Repurposing
- Transcribe recorded conversations and distill key highlights.
- Convert podcast episodes into multiple content formats social media posts, reels, tweets, blogs, newsletters, and captions.
- Write short-form and long-form captions optimised for different platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube).
- Collaboration & Creative Input
- Work closely with the host, producer, and video editors to align content tone and style.
- Suggest creative ideas for episode formats, series themes, and viral content moments.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across platforms.

What Else We Look For

- Exceptional writing and storytelling ability in English.
- Strong research skills and the ability to simplify complex ideas.
- Experience in writing for digital/video-first platforms (YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
- Understanding of SEO-friendly titles, tags, and descriptions.
- Ability to repurpose content creatively for multiple formats.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience in podcasting, journalism, or broadcast media.
- Comfort with transcript editing and script formatting.
- Basic familiarity with video editing or social media scheduling tools.

- Own a laptop that you can use at work
