Content Strategist

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing social media strategies to increase readership, engagement, and brand visibility.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative and data-driven social media strategies to promote our podcasts across platforms like Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging audio-driven networks.
- Work closely with podcast hosts, editors, and producers to craft compelling promotional content including audiograms, episode teasers, quote cards, and show summaries.
- Manage a social calendar for podcast releases and related content, ensuring timely and optimized posts that align with peak engagement windows.
- Foster community interaction by responding to listener feedback, engaging with comments, and tracking sentiment to guide content decisions.
- Monitor key performance metrics (downloads, engagement, reach, shares) and leverage SEO best practices to increase discoverability of podcasts on both social and search platforms.
- Three to five years of experience in social media management, preferably in news/media/podcasting.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, content formats, and platform-specific nuances.
- Experience in podcast marketing, distribution, or production is essential.
- Solid understanding of SEO, especially how it applies to podcasts and multimedia content.
- Proficient in using tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva, Headliner, Adobe Creative Suite, Chartable, Podbean, etc.
- Strong copywriting skills with a flair for catchy headlines and hooks.
- Newsroom or digital publishing experience is highly preferred.
- Passion for audio storytelling, current affairs, and innovative digital content.
