Your impact JOB TITLE Quantity Surveyor ROLE A motivated and developing Quantity Surveyor is sought to carry out all quantity surveying activities across assigned infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a foundational understanding of quantity surveying principles, local project contexts, and applicable regulations. Under the guidance of senior team members, the resource will contribute to the preparation of accurate and reliable priced/unpriced Bills of Quantities and cost estimates for a variety of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, railways, aviation, buildings, ports, marine works, and other civil engineering domains. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise, gain exposure to multidisciplinary teams, and grow within a structured project environment. Responsibilities - Assist in the preparation of quantity takeoff, Bill of Quantities and cost estimates for infrastructure projects. - Demonstrate a clear understanding of standard work procedures and contribute to project delivery within expected timelines and budgets. - Manage assigned tasks efficiently, working under guidance to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards. - Collaborate with counterparts in the lead office/Client and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to gather project inputs and clarify requirements. - Actively seek guidance from senior quantity surveyors and participate in training opportunities to build technical and professional skills. - Maintain self-discipline in managing daily work allocation and contribute positively to team efforts. Here's what you'll need Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Experience Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Estimation in Infrastructure projects in India, Middle East, UK, and USA region. KEY COMPETENCY Technical Skills - Preparation of comprehensive Bills of Quantities by accurately measuring and estimating items and quantities based on project specifications and drawings. This includes exposure to diverse infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, railways, aviation, buildings, ports & marine works, and other civil engineering domains. - Support in preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for various project components across different stages of project completion. - Update and maintain cost databases with relevant information. KEY COMPETENCY Soft Skills - Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard software, such as iTWO Cost X, REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu & MS office. - Exposure to Civil 3D, Navisworks is a plus. - Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including CESMM3, NRM, POMI, MMHW (UK) and Indian codes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Understanding of relevant infrastructure construction regulations and standards - Strong attention to detail and accuracy AtJacobs we value people.
