Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a TIG and ARC Welder at UROP at San Jose State University, located in Pune. The TIG and ARC Welder will be responsible for performing welding operations using TIG and ARC welding techniques to assemble and fabricate metal structures and components according to blueprints and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include setting up welders, reading and interpreting technical drawings, maintaining welding equipment, performing quality checks, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in TIG and ARC welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and standards
- Skill in performing quality control checks on welds
- Experience in maintaining and setting up welding equipment
- Attention to detail and precision in welding tasks
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
