Department: Billing Operations / Financial Services – Telecom Accounts

Location: Bangalore, Gurugram

Role, Purpose, and Scope

The Telecom Financial Service Manager (FSM) acts as the key financial liaison between large telecom clients and internal functions. This role governs the overall financial relationship for global integrated telecom deals, particularly those with high annual revenue (~$15M+) and complex delivery models. FSM is accountable for ensuring accuracy and transparency across all non-technical financial communications, including billing, forecasting, and reporting, for telecom services and solutions. The FSMII collaborates with internal stakeholders across finance, sales, and delivery and maintains direct interactions with customer executives to uphold governance and resolve financial queries.

- Internal: Telecom Service Managers, Sales, Delivery Teams, Finance, Procurement, Legal
- External: Telecom Customer Stakeholders (e.g., Procurement, Accounts Payable), Vendors, Partners

Major Responsibilities

Telecom Financial Governance & Reporting

- Deliver budget forecasting to telecom clients, highlighting actuals vs forecast and spend trends
- Provide financial inputs for telecom account P&L reviews and pipeline analysis
- Establish and manage complex telecom billing hierarchies, tailored to the client's AP structure
- Define and document telecom-specific billing protocols with clear version control
- Manage telecom pricing reviews, negotiate changes based on service delivery efficiencies
- Oversee the formatting of telecom invoices reflecting telecom service inventories and rates

Customer Engagement & Financial Relationship Management

- Participate in telecom governance reviews and monthly/quarterly financial discussions
- Facilitate billing workshops, onboarding sessions, and account setup for telecom clients
- Track and manage telecom purchase orders, including guidance on requisition processes
- Generate client-ready financial reporting packs and drive discussions on custom formats

Operational Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Supervise junior FSMs or financial analysts assigned to telecom accounts
- Support audit, compliance, and contractual billing obligations in telecom environments
- Work with delivery teams to ensure accurate service mapping to financial documentation

ADHOC Responsibilities

- Deliver adhoc financial reports, dashboards, and insights for management decision-making
- Contribute to telecom process improvement initiatives
- Participate in internal business meetings and cross-account knowledge sharing

Education Requirements

- Minimum: Any bachelor's degree or above.

Language & Technical Skills

- Language: Fluent in English (C1/90%+ proficiency); regional languages as per client demand
- Tools: Intermediate Microsoft Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Teams
- Systems: Experience in telecom billing systems, CRM/ticketing tools, and ERP platforms

Candidate Profile: Skills, Knowledge & Experience

- Telecom customer-facing experience / Telecom Billing
- 6+ years in financial service/account management in telecom domain
- FSM or financial liaison experience with large telecom clients
- Deep understanding of telecom service models and billing structures
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and reporting capability
- Telecom P&L and revenue forecasting experience
- Experience managing cross-regional telecom accounts
- Broad telecom industry knowledge
