Job Title Admission CounselorLocation Mukherje Nagar Delhi Department AdmissionsReports to Director of Admissions Head of Enrollment Job Summary The Admission Counselor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process providing information about academic programs and assisting in the evaluation of applications This role requires excellent communication skills a deep understanding of the institution s offerings and a commitment to recruiting students who will contribute to the diverse and vibrant campus community Key Responsibilities - Student Recruitment Proactively reach out to prospective students through phone calls emails and in-person interactions answering inquiries and providing information on the admissions process academic programs scholarships and campus life - Application Review Assist in reviewing and processing applications for admission including assessing academic records standardized test scores essays and letters of recommendation - Admissions Counseling Provide one-on-one counseling to students and families regarding the application process eligibility and enrollment steps - Event Coordination Organize and participate in recruitment events campus tours information sessions and high school visits to attract prospective students - Communication Maintain consistent and timely communication with prospective students guiding them through each step of the application process and answering any questions - Collaboration Work closely with faculty staff and other departments to promote the institution s programs and support the overall recruitment and admissions strategy - Data Management Track and maintain records of interactions with prospective students in the admissions database Prepare reports as necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies - Outreach Initiatives Develop relationships with high school counselors community organizations and other educational partners to expand the reach of the admissions office - Enrollment Support Assist in post-admission processes including orientation registration and connecting students with academic advisors or student services Qualifications - Education Bachelor s degree required - Experience 1-2 years of experience in student recruitment higher education admissions or a related field is preferred Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including students families and staff - Knowledge of admissions policies academic programs and financial aid options - Proficiency in using admissions software CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite Other - Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment events and travel - Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for higher education and student success - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Preferred Qualifications - Experience in customer service sales or recruitment - Fluency in multiple languages - Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing strategies Benefits - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunities for professional development and training - Dynamic and supportive work environment ref updazz com
