Medhavi Skills University (MSU) is a government-notified private skills university established under a State Act in Sikkim, dedicated to promoting quality skill education and entrepreneurship integrated with higher education. Role Overview:
This is a strategic role suited for dynamic professionals with a proven track record in supporting senior leadership within the domains of education, public policy, or skill development. The Assistant Manager will work directly with the Co-founder & Pro-Chancellor to lead and execute high-impact initiatives, represent MSU at key forums, and maintain effective stakeholder engagement with government bodies and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support & Policy Execution
- Drive execution of key education and skilling strategies aligned with MSU's vision.
- Draft high-level proposals, white papers, and strategic notes.
- Provide analytical insights into government policies affecting higher education and skill ecosystems.
Project Management
- Lead cross-functional project planning and implementation.
- Track progress, ensure on-time delivery, and align outcomes with institutional objectives.
- Coordinate closely with academic and operational teams for project rollout.
Stakeholder & Government Liaison
- Act as the interface between MSU and external stakeholders including government, industry, and academia.
- Facilitate partnerships and collaborative opportunities across ministries, NSDC, NCVET, DGT, and allied bodies.
- Monitor schemes, draft responses, and prepare compliance documentation.
Business Coordination & Leadership Support
- Manage the calendar and engagements of the Pro-Chancellor effectively.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare briefing notes, and ensure executive follow-ups.
- Oversee internal workflows and reporting from the Pro-Chancellor's Office.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Master's/Bachelor's in Public Administration, Political Science, Education, Business, or Law.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in government relations, policy implementation, or project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Prior experience working with founders, CXOs, or in higher education policy is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and multi-department coordination.
