Job Title General Manager - MICE Travel Division Location Mumbai IndiaReports to CEODepartment MICE DivisionJob Summary The General Manager for the MICE Business will be responsible for launching and managing the company s new MICE division This includes overseeing the strategic planning sales and operational execution of all MICE-related activities The GM will work closely with corporate clients suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless event management and excellent customer experiences The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge and a proven track record in MICE business development Key Responsibilities - Strategic Planning Develop and implement a business plan to establish and grow Vernost s MICE business including meetings conferences incentives and exhibitions - Business Development Identify new business opportunities within the corporate and events industry develop relationships with key clients and drive MICE sales growth - Operations Management Oversee the planning and execution of events ensuring high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction - Vendor Management Build and maintain relationships with hotels conference centers transportation services and other relevant vendors - Team Leadership Recruit train and manage a team of MICE professionals ensuring effective operations and adherence to company standards - Budget Management Develop and manage the budget for the MICE division including cost control revenue targets and profitability - Client Relationship Management Cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients and event organizers to secure repeat business and positive referrals - Compliance Reporting Ensure compliance with all regulations related to event management and travel Provide regular performance updates to senior management on the division s financial and operational metrics Qualifications - Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Event Management Business Administration or a related field MBA is preferred - 10 years of experience in the MICE industry with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role - Strong network within the corporate hospitality and event management industries - Proven track record of growing and managing a successful MICE business - Excellent negotiation sales and communication skills - Ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams Preferred Skills - Knowledge of international event standards and experience with large-scale event management - Understanding of digital tools and platforms that can enhance event planning and execution ref updazz com
