GMG is a global well-being company retailing distributing and manufacturing a portfolio of leading international and home-grown brands across sport everyday goods health and beauty properties and logistics sectors Under the ownership and management of the Baker family for over 45 years GMG is a valued partner of choice for the world s most successful and respected brands in the well-being sector Working across the Middle East North Africa and Asia GMG has introduced more than 120 brands across 12 countries These include notable home-grown brands such as Sun Sand Sports Dropkick Supercare Pharmacy Farm Fresh Klassic and international brands like Nike Columbia Converse Timberland Vans Mama Sita s and McCain Role Summary As transformation team you will lead the digital and operational transformation of the organisation ensuring the seamless integration of technology with business operations to drive innovation growth and enhanced customer experiences This role combines deep understanding of retail and technical acumen to redefine the retail environment creating value through innovative IT solutions data-driven decision-making and optimized customer engagement The role focuses on driving key projects - development implementation and continuous improvement of best practices processes and tools across the organization Responsibilities 1 Process Optimization - Identify opportunities to streamline operations across sales inventory and customer service - Manage the implement data-driven methodologies to monitor evaluate and improve performance 2 Innovation and Digital Transformation - Research and manage the deploy emerging technologies and innovative solutions to enhance retail operations - Drive digital transformation initiatives leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in the competitive retail IT landscape 3 Change Management - Act as a catalyst for change support adoption of new processes tools and technologies - Lead transitioning to improved practices through training and mentoring 4 Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment - Work closely with departments such as Audit marketing supply chain and store operations to ensure cohesive implementation of initiatives - Facilitate knowledge-sharing and collaboration across teams to foster innovation 5 Project Management - Ensure all project tracker and escalate any deviations from timelines and present status updates - Ensure sustainability of execution implementation post roll-out and track ROI People Management The incumbent holds no direct supervisory responsibilities but is expected to engage effectively within their function and collaboratively across cross-functional teams This role contributes meaningfully whether through operational contributions and or by offering specialized expertise guidance and support to ensure alignment with either functional and or strategic organizational goals and objectives Functional Technical Competencies - Understanding of Retail Business - Data Analytics and Business Intelligence - Agile and Project Management Methodologies - Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Excel Powerpoint Word - Strong understanding of AI and data analytics - Strong stakeholder management capabilities - Proficiency in process optimization and performance measurement tools - Understanding of inventory and stock management processes
