DESCRIPTIONAre you excited to work on high-impact high-visibility services that drive over 99 of sales on the Amazon Store Do you thrive in data-driven environments managing petabytes of data to build machine learning datasets that enhance transparency in offer selection and shopper behavior Are you passionate about creating solutions that influence millions of customer purchasing decisions and drive significant business impactIf so the Featured Merchant Algorithm team presents a unique opportunity to take on these challenges We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead the development of solutions that shape the shopping experience for hundreds of millions of customers worldwide In this role you ll spearhead the creation of a new high-impact high-visibility greenfield service that integrates LLM agents across multiple Amazon organizations You will lead a diverse high-performing team dedicated to ensuring the accuracy accessibility compliance and confidentiality of critical datasets that drive Amazon s decision-making processes These datasets are crucial for offer ranking legal compliance and business insights directly influencing how products are presented to customers You ll work closely with scientists to develop ML datasets that train models responsible for selecting the Featured Offers which generate the majority of Amazon Store sales You ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering scientific and legal teams across offer ranking advertising analytics and pricing to enable simulations model refreshes and compliance enforcement If you re passionate about leveraging data to shape the future of Amazon shopping experience we d love to hear from you BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3 years of engineering team management experience - 7 years of engineering experience - 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software hardware networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy - Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineersOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process including support for the interview or onboarding process please visit for more information If the country region you re applying in isn t listed please contact your Recruiting Partner
