Software Development Manager, India Healthcare

Description This role is for a Software Development Manager in the India HealthCare team We are working on building converging the India HealthStack to provide offerings such as Pharmacy Telemedicine and Diagnostics to customers on Amazon In Key job responsibilities Own building Amazon first ground-up tech capabilities and products You will own building technology that innovates for the fast growing HealthCare domain in India To enable this business initiatives you will lead the definition and execution of strategic projects aimed at building best-in-class experience for customer and delivery experience You will have end to end ownership of cross-functional projects including product definition roadmap resource planning and project execution You will work closely with product business category and marketing leadership including executive leadership at Amazon to define the product and build vision for the program At the heart of this role is technology innovation You will be hands-on in driving the delivery of critical technical initiatives right from building the vision requirements definition designing solution with Amazon first innovation in combination with leveraging Amazon s global technology solutions and delivering high quality scalable tech capabilities As a leader you will deliver through exceptional engineers and work closely with technical program managers principal engineers while hiring and developing a world-class engineering team As an enthusiastic motivated curious empathetic reliable team member you will drive the culture for the team and organization As a strong people leader you will champion diversity and inclusion in your team and organization You will provide leadership and innovation in the design and implementation of services to enable new products and services You will establish strong project management processes standards and guidelines in the execution of high velocity and high impact deliveries You will champion operation and engineering practices in the team exemplifying scalable product development lifecycle practices About the team Our team s 3 year vision is to be the best-in-class online Healthcare provider India We are a team building and scaling a new business in Amazon India We ship software early and often we work on greenfield ML GenAI initiatives we are passionate about opportunity to serve customers on something as critical as best in class Healthcare to conveniently get access to top doctors prescription medicines and ability to get lab tests within minutes or at a time of choice We are building India-first technology to solve for Healthcare needs for customers in India Basic Qualifications - 3 years of engineering team management experience - 7 years of engineering experience - 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software hardware networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teams - Experience designing or architecting design patterns reliability and scaling of new and existing systems Preferred Qualifications - Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy - Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process including support for the interview or onboarding process please visit for more information If the country region you re applying in isn t listed please contact your Recruiting Partner
