Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: - Zscaler Platform Management: Design, implement, configure, and maintain various Zscaler services, including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). - Security Policy Enforcement: Develop and manage granular security policies within Zscaler, including URL filtering, cloud application control, malware protection, advanced threat protection, and bandwidth control. - Access Control & VPN Alternatives: Configure and manage secure access to internal applications via ZPA, acting as a VPN alternative, and ensure seamless user experience. - Traffic Forwarding & Integration: Implement and manage various traffic forwarding methods to Zscaler (e.g., Zscaler Client Connector, GRE tunnels, IPSec VPNs) and integrate Zscaler with other security solutions (e.g., SIEM, Identity Providers). - Troubleshooting: Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex Zscaler-related issues, including connectivity problems, policy enforcement failures, and performance degradation. - Monitoring & Reporting: Proactively monitor Zscaler logs, security events, and performance metrics. Configure dashboards and alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents. Generate reports on internet usage, threat landscape, and security posture. - Identity Integration: Integrate Zscaler with Identity Providers (IdP) like Azure AD, Okta, Ping Identity for seamless user authentication and provisioning. - Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Zscaler configurations, security policies, integration points, and operational procedures. - Collaboration: Work closely with network, security operations, application teams, and end-users to ensure comprehensive security and effective user experience. Preferred Candidate Profile: - Zscaler Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). - Network Security Fundamentals: In-depth understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS), routing, firewall concepts, and VPN technologies. - Cloud Security: Solid understanding of cloud security principles and experience with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) concepts. - Cybersecurity Concepts: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, threat landscapes, common attack vectors, and defense mechanisms (e.g., malware, phishing, data exfiltration). - Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex security and network issues. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and security findings effectively. - Certifications (Plus): Zscaler certifications (e.g., ZCCA-IA, ZCCA-PA, ZCCP-IA, ZCCP-PA) or other industry-recognized security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, CISSP) are highly desirable. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
