Job Description Core Responsibilities - Coordinate design activities between architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout project lifecycle - Review and distribute design documents, drawings, and specifications - Organize and maintain project documentation and design files - Schedule and facilitate design meetings, taking and distributing minutes - Track design milestones and deadlines to ensure project stays on schedule - Identify and help resolve design conflicts or coordination issues - Process design change requests and maintain change logs Technical Duties - Review drawings for compliance with project requirements and standards - Coordinate building information modeling (BIM) processes - Assist with material and finish selections - Prepare design presentation materials - Track and manage submittals and RFIs (Requests for Information) - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for product information - Maintain updated specifications and technical data Administrative Functions - Manage design-related correspondence - Maintain design budget tracking and reporting - Create and update project schedules related to design activities - Process invoices related to design services - Support quality control processes - Prepare progress reports for stakeholders Required Skills - Strong organizational and time management abilities - Excellent communication skills - Attention to detail and accuracy - Proficiency with design and project management software - Understanding of construction documents and processes - Problem-solving capabilities - Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
