Work Location : Chennai - Sites and FactoryJob Overview: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to handle the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, power and control panels, cable laying, tray work, control panel wiring, PMC (Project Maintenance Contracts), and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts). The role also requires ensuring strict compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on technical expertise in working with electrical systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: 1. Electrical Installation & Setup Install and configure electrical power systems, control panels, and related equipment. Perform cable laying, tray installations, and termination work. Execute control panel wiring and ensure proper functioning of electrical circuits. Assist in setting up low-voltage and high-voltage systems as per project requirements. 2. Troubleshooting & Repair Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in power systems, panels, and wiring. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns. Replace defective components, wiring, switches, relays, and fuses. Use testing equipment to identify problems and ensure smooth system performance. 3. PMC & AMC Work Handle Project Maintenance Contracts (PMC) and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for clients. Perform scheduled inspections, testing, and servicing of electrical installations. Provide timely maintenance reports and ensure minimal downtime for clients. 4. Safety & Compliance Follow electrical safety standards and local regulations during installation and repairs. Ensure proper grounding, insulation, and fire safety measures. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Conduct safety checks before and after installations. 5. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of installation work, maintenance schedules, and repairs performed. Prepare daily reports and share updates with supervisors or project managers. Ensure proper labeling and documentation of wiring, panels, and connections. Required Skills & Competencies: Technical Skills: Expertise in electrical system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of power distribution, control panels, and wiring diagrams. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Hands-on experience in cable laying, tray work, and panel assembly. Proficiency in using electrical testing tools like multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Good teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Educational & Experience Requirements: Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 1–5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician. Certifications (Preferred): Electrical Safety Certification. Authorized Electrical License (if applicable). Work Environment & Schedule: Work Location: Office, client sites, or project locations. Work Hours: Standard 8–9 hours per day, with occasional overtime as required. Travel: May need to visit client sites for installation and maintenance.
