Description

The Academic Counsellor will provide guidance and support to students in their academic journey, helping them navigate their educational options and overcome challenges. This role involves working closely with students to ensure they achieve their academic goals and develop effective study habits.

Responsibilities

- Provide academic guidance and support to students regarding course selection, career paths, and educational goals.
- Assist students in understanding academic policies and procedures.
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to address academic challenges and personal concerns.
- Develop and implement academic success strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to enhance student support services.
- Organize workshops and seminars on study skills, time management, and exam preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and empathy towards students needs.
- Knowledge of academic programs and university policies in India.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and student management systems.
- Prior experience in counseling or academic advising is a plus, but not mandatory.
