Job Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic gastroenterologists to partner with and serve as Subject Matter Experts for our colonoscopy annotation projects. Contracts have complete flexibility to work around your existing schedule, be part-time, and are remote in nature (i.e., work from home). In that role, you would perform manual data labeling across a variety of imaging modalities and pathologies, train specialist annotation teams, and evaluate and give feedback on annotated datasets & training material.

Job Role:

1. Image and Video Review: Gastroenterologists will receive approximately 10 links via email to colonoscopy procedure videos on Vimeo to be reviewed, along with a separate link to a Google Form (one per video) to complete after watching each video. The form emphasizes differentiation between IBD and CRC/other diseases of the colon as well as the determination of IBD type. If you find disease determination to be a feasible task, we request that you give a score using either the MES system or the SES-CD system. We estimate that the entire assignment will take two to three hours (i.e., 10 videos with corresponding forms for each).
2. Annotation Strategy
3. Experimentation: To aid with our annotation strategy development, we hope to gain insight into the feasibility of the task - whether the kinds of images or videos used make sense, and what the optimal output should look like. For example, we recently ran an experiment evaluating various processes for annotating ulcerations.
4. Training materials: Review the training materials for annotators to ensure the example images are accurate.
5. General education: Holding regular Q&A sessions with annotation project coordinators about disease features and any other pressing questions that may arise within our client's development cycles.

Skills we are looking for:

- Specialty training in Gastroenterology (completed or in training)
- Experience scoring IBD cases (both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) additional benefit
- Computer Literacy
- Passion for impacting lives and a great work ethic
