Job Description TCS Chennai hiring General Ledger Accounting Team Member Role: [Associate / Senior Associate] Skill: [GL Accounting] Desired Exp: [2 years to 8 years] Work Location: [TCS Chennai] Shift: 24x7 Virtual Interview Date and Time: To be shared later. [The interview will be conducted virtually over MS Teams and you can appear for it from your Personal Laptop (preferred) or Smartphone] Eligibility: - Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3 Bachelors/Graduates) Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. - All candidates should be comfortable with Night Shift / Split or Rotational Week-off / 5 Days Work From Office Job Description: - General Ledger Management: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, process journal entries, and handle all GL-related activities. - Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and provide support for budgeting and forecasting. - Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations, cross-check entries against source documents, and resolve discrepancies. - Month-end and Year-end Close: Play a key role in executing the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. - Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure financial records comply with GAAP and other regulations, and assist internal and external auditors by providing necessary schedules and data. - Coordination: Liaise with other finance teams, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury, to ensure smooth operations. - Fixed Assets: Track and maintain the fixed asset ledger, and handle the setup of new fixed assets and projects. - Reporting: Assist with statutory, regulatory, and ad hoc financial reporting. Required qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role. Skills: - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. =============================== EP number, which is your candidature ID, is mandatory for eligibility for the interview and to process your profile further post selection.
