Role Overview We are hiring a Manager – Finance & Accounts who will lead the financial governance, reporting, strategy support, and compliance responsibilities across the group. The role combines strategic finance thinking with operational oversight — ideal for someone who wants to grow into a Head of Finance role over the next few years. Reporting to: Directors Location: Mumbai (Hybrid) Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Planning - Lead annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes - Build and maintain cash flow visibility and business scenario modelling - Provide insights on cost optimization, product margins, tax exposure, and financial risks - Support decision-making for new initiatives, pricing, and operational investment planning Controls, Governance & Compliance - Own the statutory compliance schedule and ensure zero delays across GST, TDS, PF, PT, Income Tax, and international remittances - Define and strengthen financial controls, approval structures, and documentation processes - Ensure audit preparedness throughout the year and lead coordination during statutory audits Management Reporting & Business Insights - Oversee month-end closing and financial accuracy - Build clear reporting dashboards covering revenue, expenses, profitability, receivables, and cash health - Present monthly and quarterly financial insights to leadership Contracts, Legal Coordination & Risk - Review and manage essential legal documentation—including contracts, compliance needs, and basic IP considerations — ensuring the company’s interests are protected without requiring external legal support. - Identify financial or compliance-related risks and recommend mitigation approaches Team Leadership & Process Excellence - Lead and mentor a growing finance and accounts team - Work with external partners such as CA firms, auditors, banks, and regulators when necessary - Drive continuous improvement through automation, system upgrades, and reduced manual dependency What Success Looks Like (12 Months) - Predictable and reliable reporting used consistently for business decisions - Zero missed compliance timelines - Strong control systems established across expenses, procurement, vendor payments, and receivables - Reduced debtor cycles and improved working capital discipline - A strong focus on process automation - A finance function that operates smoothly with growing autonomy Requirements Must Have - Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3–5 years post-qualification experience - Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, taxation, and financial governance - Ability to translate financial data into meaningful business language Preferred - Experience in tech, SaaS, digital commerce or a scaling startup environment - Exposure to automation tools, ERPs, or finance system transitions Strengths We Value - Ownership mindset - Structured thinking and strong attention to detail - Clear communicator with stakeholder confidence - Bias for process excellence and long-term thinking Why Join Us - High ownership role with direct access to leadership decision-making - Freedom to structure and modernize the finance function - Opportunity to grow into a senior finance leadership role
