In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for electrical systems in construction and engineering projects. - Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical systems using software such as Revit and AutoCAD MEP - Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate integration of electrical systems within the overall BIM model - Analyze and resolve conflicts between electrical and other building systems in the BIM environment - Create and manage BIM content libraries for electrical components - Develop and implement BIM standards and best practices for electrical systems - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to optimize electrical design and installation processes - Generate reports and documentation to support project planning and decision-making - Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM tools and processes for electrical systems - Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards throughout the BIM process - Participate in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field - 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably with a focus on electrical systems - Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit and AutoCAD MEP - Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and construction processes - BIM certification, such as Autodesk Certified Professional, is preferred - Excellent understanding of electrical codes and standards - Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent time management and organizational abilities - Familiarity with construction processes and project management principles - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
